Originally, we had contacted WE Energies with some questions and they emailed a list of
companies that work with Focus on Energy. Your company name was on the list and we
checked the website to see what we might learn about you. We were impressed with the
website and even more impressed with Pete Morsch who answered the phone when we called
the office.
We admitted to Pete that we had no idea what would need to be done but he was
patient and suggested some solutions that might work for us and volunteered to come to our
home to do an energy audit. He was very professional in showing the results to us and
explaining our options. He told us that he would send a contract with the options we discussed
and the cost of doing the work. He also assured us that the company was well established and
the installers were capable technicians.
We are pleased to say that we promptly received the contract which we signed and
returned and Pete was communicating with us via email during this process. Jim, Jim, and
Mitch showed up on the appointed morning, removed their shoes, double checked the work
assignments, spread the floor covering, and went to work. We left the house and when they
called us later in the day, we returned to find all the work done and everything cleaned up.
Our basement is tighter and brighter, the entry from the garage is more secure, and the
low energy bulbs are distributed through the house. We thank you for guiding us in this matter
with your personable, efficient staff. We definitely recommend St Croix Energy Solutions Inc..

St Croix Energy Solutions did the insulation on our small remodel job. They arrived to the minute of when they said. They used 3 different types of insulation to maximize each situation. The crew was fast and courteous. They cleaned up very nicely and made sure the foam was not going to be an issue with the new sheet rock. Our 1st energy audit blower door was over 2800 (what ever that means) The final audit blower door was around 2000. Now we can't wait to get our 1st winter heat bill to see how much money we are saving. Who knew a heat bill could be exciting!?!

The staff while scheduling the appointment, the staff that came out and taught us about home energy, the staff explaining the rebate offers and the team that came out to perform the work were all kind, patient, organized and energized about their work~ no matter which role they played.


My husband and I had certain concerns, but Pete shared more tips on how to improve our home to make it more energy efficient. He walked through the whole house showing us areas that needed updating, gave us informative packets and gave us time to think and ask questions. The company recently insulated my 100-year-old farmhouse, and now it feels like someone placed a warm blanket over the whole place. I called because with my first child on the way, I was concerned about the temperature in our upstairs bedrooms. We do not have duct work upstairs and rely on baseboard electric heaters in the winter. Since St. Croix Energy completed their work, I've rarely had to turn the electric heaters on at night, and that's despite temperatures plunging to zero degrees. They came out and used spray foam insulation along our entire rim joists. They also foamed the holes in the attic where air is escaping, covered recessed lights with boxes and then blew in additional cellulose insulation to reach a final value of R60.
They were very professional. They came in at the time they said they were coming. They went right to work. The work went smoothly and ended before their estimated ending time. They even came back out a couple of times to help touch up some areas and help with a particular problem area that air was leaking through. We finally stopped the draft and we are very satisfied with the work that was done. Our house feels much more comfortable and we couldn't be happier with the change to our house. Thank you.
One big advantage using St. Croix Energy Solutions Inc. was the fact that they are a part of a rebate program called Focus on Energy. Its a program with the state of Wisconsin and Excel Energy to help home owners, like myself, update the insulation in older homes to make them more efficient. Without this program our cost would have been closer to $2800.

Thanks for the excellent safe work done by St Croix Energy Solutions in completing the work insulating and adding attic ventilation for our home in St Paul. We had the attic knee-walls reinsulated with spray-on foam, and all the ceilings reinsulated with cellulous to R-60 or more. The ventilation will eliminate summer heat and winter moisture build-up. Very nicely done. Also, thanks for the rebate program that helps incentivize this work. I would have done this work anyway, but the rebates help bring the payback time sooner than if done without the rebate.

We had our attic insulated over the house and garage plus 24 ventilation soffit chutes installed in the garage to provide better airflow. They also resolved an issue we had with our gas fireplace leaking which caused cold/hot air to come in when it shouldn't have. I did as St. Croix Energy Solutions suggested and I can feel a difference in the house. It is 7 below today and quite tolerable in the rooms that were not tolerable before.
