To make your home more comfortable, durable, safe, and efficient.
Aaron Riendeau founded St. Croix Energy Solutions Inc (SCES) in 2007, but before he pursued his dream of operating his own company he spent years in the construction and building science industry with over 18 years of experience.
Aaron began gaining knowledge in the construction industry while in high school working summer construction jobs and working at a lumberyard. After graduating from Amery High School he went on to the University of Wisconsin-Stout where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management. After years of working on and managing the construction of new homes, remodeling homes, and large industrial projects he couldn’t help becoming more aware of how construction could become so much better with the help of home energy performance testing. Aaron then began to pursue his dream in not just operating his own company, but making a difference in the comfort, safety, durability and efficiency of people’s homes and businesses.
SCES didn’t neglect any steps in becoming as educated and prepared as possible to become respected in our industry. We have become a certified HERs rater, certified BPI Building Analyst, certified Green Rater, an Associate Constructor, and have received certification as a Residential Energy Auditor from Dunwoody Institute.
SCES has performed thousands of home energy assessments on existing residential homes and commercial buildings throughout WI and MN. We have worked with home and business owners to become more knowledgeable of their building and after testing we give an extensive evaluation of the building. We are comfortable working with owners and contractors to locate problems and to teach how problems can be resolved.
SCES realizes that not only can we make a difference in existing homes and businessess, but new construction buildings as well. We have certified numerous ENERGY STAR homes over the years and have worked with many builders and architects to reach ENERGY STAR compliance and beyond.
Our expertise in this field has lead SCES into a few programs that have helped lower income homes become more energy efficient. SCES has participated in various Weatherization Programs and a Focus on Energy Mobile Home Pilot Program. We take pride in knowing that these homeowners would not be able to achieve the same quality of results without our services.
As a privately operated company SCES has been able to participate in contributing to numerous charities including fundraising events for the Walk for Paws in Menomonie, WI, the Blast from the Past Dance for St. Croix Animal Friends in Hudson, WI, and the Hot Air Affair Charity event that benefited Turning-point in River Falls, WI. We are also on the building committee for Wild Rivers Habitat for Humanity and try to stay as involved as possible in contributing our services to benefit local communities. Another way we have contributed is by becoming more involved in continuing education programs. Wisconsin Indian Technical College (WITC) asked us to help oversee the development of a new program for students interested in becoming a Residential Energy Auditor.
Of course, when it comes to our industry we need to stay on top of current customer needs and current technology. We continue to educate ourselves through memberships with the St. Croix Valley Home Builders Association, Minnesota Building Performance Association, and regularly attending energy conferences.
SCES realizes that we can make a difference that goes beyond just one home or business and will contribute towards a more sustainable future for generations to come. We look forward to each new project and challenge that is presented to us.
